Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
Join an interactive animal adventure to visit the wonderful world of dolphins! Become a wildlife explorer to discover the dolphin habitat, predators, and unique facts about these incredible animals. Meet unique pink dolphins that live in the Amazon River and other dolphin species that live in oceans around the world. Learn about the amazing kindness that dolphins show to humans and other animals.

Then, use your imagination and transform into a dolphin!

Learn and play on this interactive and educational adventure!
- Team up with giant otters to hunt a delicious fish meal.
- Dodge animal predators and use fancy flippers and tail flukes to swim to safety.
- Gain dolphin superpowers of excellent hearing and intelligence.
- Rescue humans, injured animals, and dolphin friends and family.

By the end of this imaginative experience, learners will be able to answer questions including:
- How do dolphins use echolocation to sense whether another animal is in trouble?
- Is it true that dolphins keep one eye open while they sleep to detect predators?
- In the wild, do dolphins help sick members of their own pod?

Our adventure will also include a dolphin coloring project. At the end of our expedition, we will complete the adventure by sharing our dolphin artworks.

*If there is a different date or time that would work better than the available sections, please send me a message. I am more than happy to accommodate.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was a little girl. My mom taught at a bilingual elementary school in the South Bronx. I always admired the way she spent countless hours preparing for classes and the way she loved her job. I knew I wanted to follow in her footsteps.

Most of my eight years of teaching has been in the museum education field. I have taught hands-on arts classes in science, art, and history museums in Florida and Massachusetts, as well as abroad in Costa Rica.

I live in Florida with my husband and our cat, Patrick. I have a B.A. in Art History degree as well as a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Florida. Additionally, while I was working in a history museum in Boston, I took evening classes in Art Education at Harvard.

I believe that learning should always be engaging and fun. My experience has taught me that most children learn and retain information the best when the lesson is hands-on. My classes have educational topics that incorporate an arts and crafts activity.

I look forward to the opportunity to teach your children in a fun and creative way. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.
