Class Experience

US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
*** Or use ACADEFIRST6 for a $6 discount on your first class with us ***

The perfect class for our littlest would-be marine biologists. No previous knowledge required - just some curiosity about learning about our oceans.

In each class we'll explore some of the most iconic marine animals, learning about their basic features, where they live, what they eat etc... Sometimes we will look at different ocean habitats as well as topics like underwater camouflage and how we explore the sea (snorkelling, diving etc...)

We supply an optional activity/worksheet for your learner to complete each week.

We have a wide range of topics (see below). This runs as a 24 week schedule which cycles around. You can join and hop off at any point.

Parrotfish & Clownfish
Orcas & Sea otters
Manatees & Dugongs
Octopus	& Squid

We will share lots of high quality videos and photos to help inspire - many of them filmed by WiseOceans as part of our work around the world. We'll also bring our first-hand experiences to the lesson. There will be lots of interactivity but no pressure on those who prefer to sit back and take it all in.

Our style is fun, informal and interactive but backed up with science so that learners feel like they've made some steps towards becoming ocean ambassadors and, who knows....future marine biologists!

If you have a 5 or 6 year-old learner who wants to dive a bit deeper then please check out our Ocean Explorers Club which might be more appropriate (the age range is set to flexible). Please message us if you need any guidance.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basic features and behaviour of marine creatures alongside broader science skills.
