Greetings Parents! My name is Mrs. Dickens! Welcome to our online Ohana! Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. I live in North Carolina and have been an educator for ten years. I've taught in public schools, private schools and virtual academies. I possess a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) with a Concentration in Psychology. I've had the privilege to teach grades Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First, Second, Fourth and Sixth. As an online ESL teacher, I've taught ages ranging from 3-15 years old. I enjoy working with all ages, however children ages 8 and under really have my heart. I've taught English, English as a Second Language, Math, Social Studies, and Science. I'm extremely passionate about elementary education as it is the foundation of all knowledge. My passion is to help children open their minds to a whole new world to truly begin seeing the world for the first time through new experiences! In my classes, you can be sure there will be lots of smiles, warmth, and encouragement. Children learn best when they are having fun! Whether we sing, dance or laugh our hearts out Mrs. Dickens will be here to encourage and touch all minds in our classroom. I hope that you will join me in our online Ohana!!
