Hello, Prehistoric Scientists! Get ready for a self-paced summer adventure exploring the incredible world of prehistoric apex predators! From razor-sharp teeth to lightning-fast reflexes, these fierce hunters ruled the ancient world, each with unique skills to track and take down their prey. Perfect for summer learning, this flexible class lets young explorers dive into discoveries anytime, anywhere—whether at home, on vacation, or on a road trip! This beginner-friendly asynchronous course is designed for young students new to online learning, making it a great introduction to structured, interactive lessons. There are no live Zoom meetings, but each lesson includes pre-recorded videos where I guide students through exciting facts about these ancient carnivores. What will we learn? Each lesson uncovers the secrets of a different dinosaur or prehistoric predator: ✅ Identify each animal by picture ✅ Discover the meaning behind its scientific name (e.g., Velociraptor means "swift thief") ✅ Find out if it's a carnivore or herbivore ✅ Compare its length to everyday objects (Tyrannosaurus rex was as long as a school bus!) ✅ Compare its weight to modern animals (Spinosaurus weighed more than two elephants!) ✅ Learn when it lived and where it roamed ✅ Enjoy a fun coloring page for each creature! This class is geared toward younger learners and may require adult assistance for interactive activities. Join us for a summer filled with prehistoric discoveries and keep boredom at bay with fun, flexible learning! Thank you for your interest in Summer 2025: Predators Unleashed! Bachelor's Degree from Texas A&M University - Commerce
Though my undergraduate degree major was computer science, I double-minored in mathematics and earth science. I chose earth science simply because I love it. The earth, environments, and climate is a passion I've held since I was a child. I have always loved and craved learning about animals that lived in prehistoric times and did not have a chance to survive into the modern world. This class is a way in which I can express and share my own personal studies as well as the love of dinosaurs and what their lives may have looked like.
