Your child will design a Halloween Scene using Google Slides. Your child can choose from at least 20 different backgrounds as well as over 75 images that I designed. I will show them how they can manipulate images and add them to their background. Some of the examples of images that they have to choose from are many types of bats, pumpkins, fog, cats, moons, spiders, skeletons, etc... I will show the students how to resize, move, change colors, and arrange the images of their choice on their chosen background. The sky is the limit on what they can do with their images and design. After they complete their Halloween Scene each student will show the class (by sharing the screen) and creatively tell the class about their one-of-a-kind design. This class promotes creativity, design, and imagination. After they completed their Halloween Scene they have the option to print their design. Each student needs to have a Google account they can use for Google Slides before the class. I have a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design as well as I have taught online for over 5 years. I also use Google Slides every day in my classroom!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to use some of the design features of Google Slides. I love to see students using their imagination designing as well as learning how to use Google Slides. Also, I want to promote creativity and imagination further and have them to tell us a "story" about their design.
