This hands-on lesson introduces the learner to creating a correctly formatted research PowerPoint. The student will learn to provide the needed information in their PowerPoint. This class includes collecting the information needed to prepare the PowerPoint including determining the audience, collecting research, creating a title slide, an introduction, presenting the research, a conclusion, preparing a bibliography, and slide rules. Teacher will demonstrate and learner will follow step by step instructions to build and populate their own example PowerPoint. This is part of the PowerPoint portion of the technology applications class that I taught to high school students. I wrote the curriculum based on skill requirements set by the state of Texas. I have 20 years of experience teaching computer applications including all of the Microsoft Office Suite at the middle and high school level and 15 years at the college level. I have a Master of Science degree in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems.
