For this one-week course on the hero's journey in creative writing, we'll embark on an intensive exploration structured around both the theory and practice of crafting a narrative. The course is designed to help students understand the classical structure of a hero's journey and apply this framework to develop their own creative stories. - Students will create their own heroic character. Students will write a narrative based on the hero's journey. Students will present their finished heroic journey to their classmates! Students will rehearse and practice writing conventions through writing a heroic narrative.

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Students will be assigned writing assignments in between classes to finish individually. Students will have less than an hour of homework assigned in between classes.Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: Students' final product will not be formally assessed. However, students will get written feedback on their final product from their teacher.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
