For the first five minutes, we will cover the prompt for the day. Example: You wake up one morning to find that your entire house has been transformed into a giant, magical gingerbread house! Every room is filled with delicious candy, frosting, and gumdrops. But as you explore, you start to notice strange things happening - the candy is growing, the frosting is glowing, and the gumdrops are coming to life! Write a story about your adventure in this magical gingerbread house and the challenges you face as you try to escape before it's too late. In the next twenty minutes, we will write. Miss. Field will be available for questions (spelling, vocabulary, etc..). For the final ten minutes, we will read our stories out loud. Miss. Field will provide feedback to each student. Hello there! My name is Abby, and I am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful community. I have been involved in the field of education for many years, both as a teacher and in administrative roles.
As a teacher, I have primarily focused on teaching English and reading, but I also have experience teaching cooking and crafting classes. I have written curriculum for various subjects and taught in various educational settings, including public and private schools, community centers, and online platforms.
One of the values that is central to my teaching philosophy is the belief that learning should be a fun and engaging experience. I believe that students learn best when they are excited and motivated about the material they are studying. To achieve this, I try to create a positive and interactive learning environment in my classes that encourages student participation and collaboration.
While I don't teach full time at this point, I continue to be passionate about education and enjoy working behind the scenes to support students and educators alike. In my current administrative role, I am involved in developing and implementing programs that enhance the educational experience of students.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with my furry companion, Magnolia. She is a loyal and loving dog who never leaves my side, and I can't imagine life without her. I am also recently engaged and excited to begin planning my future with my soon-to-be husband!
I am honored to be a part of this community and look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with students and educators alike.
