US Grade 2 - 5
In this 1-week summer camp for ages 6-10, young writers will dive into the world of creative writing, discovering the essential elements of storytelling. Participants will learn about character development, world-building, plot creation, and crafting dialogue through interactive activities and daily lessons. As they progress through the week, students will apply these skills to their own short story, which they will complete and share with the group. Creative Writing Explorers offers a stimulating and supportive environment for budding storytellers to develop their craft while having fun with fellow writers. Hello, parents and caregivers! Welcome to Outschool, where the possibilities for learning are endless. My name is Ms. Alyssa, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your child. As an experienced teacher, I'm dedicated to creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.
As a certified teacher with NYS Teacher Certifications in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Childhood Education, and Childhood Special Education, I have the skills and knowledge to support a diverse range of learners.
From students with learning disabilities to those with behavioral or emotional challenges, I'm committed to providing personalized support that meets your child's unique needs.
But learning isn't just about academic success. It's also about developing important social and emotional skills that will help your child succeed in all areas of life. That's why I prioritize Social Emotional Learning (SEL) concepts that assist learners in developing emotional regulation skills as well as social skills. Through interactive activities, games, and engaging lessons, I make sure that every student has the opportunity to grow both academically and personally.
Whether your child needs help with specific content areas or wants to explore new topics and interests, I offer a variety of learning opportunities that are tailored to your child's needs. From group classes to 1:1 tutoring, I'm dedicated to creating a fun and engaging learning experience that helps your child reach their full potential.
So why choose me as your child's teacher?
Because I'm passionate about learning and excited to share that passion with your child. As Diane Ackerman said, "Play is our brain's favorite way of learning," and I believe that by making learning fun and exciting, we can unlock your child's full potential. I'm excited to create a learning environment that supports your child's growth and development.
