Hey Learners and Parents, 
Welcome to my innovative computer skills class! In this ongoing class, you will learn practical skills each week to prepare you to tackle and computer based assignment in school AND for a future job or career. 
*Did you know that 70% of Fortune 500 companies use Microsoft Office and over 6 million companies use Google Suite?*
So, why don't we learn all about these programs in a fun and engaging way so that you all students can be prepared for their assignments, jobs, and careers! 

Here is our class weekly schedule: 
Week of 9/12: How to save, set up, and organize files on your computer and in Google Drive. 
Week of 9/19: Setting up proper layout of Microsoft Word document, PowerPoint, and Excel Spreadsheet
Week of 9/26: How to use fonts and styles in Word and PowerPoint. How to create a schedule in Excel
Week of 10/3: How to use the insert tab in Word and PowerPoint. How to color code cells in Excel
Week of 10/10: How to make a flyer in Word. How to organize a PowerPoint presentation. 
Week of 10/17: How to use basic functions and equations in Excel to set up a budget.
Week of 10/24: Setting up proper layout of Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets
Week of 10/31: How to use fonts and styles in Docs and Slides. How to create a schedule in Sheets
Week of 11/7: How to use the insert tab in Docs and Slides. How to color code cells in Sheets
Week of 11/14: How to make a flyer in Docs. How to organize a Slides presentation. 
Week of 11/21: How to use basic functions and equations in Sheets to set up a budget.
Week of 12/5: How to create tables and graphs in Docs, Word, PowerPoint, Slides, Excel, and Sheets. 
Week of 12/12: How to use advanced functions and equations in Excel and Sheets
Week of 12/19: How to set up a research paper in Word and Docs

This class is ongoing, so learners can join and leave at any week.

Parental Guidance
Google Drive, Docs, Slides and Sheets: Students will need access to a Google email for these programs. Students will be using these to work on while the teacher shares his screen to demonstrate skills for each program. Students will be creating their own projects on each platform. Microsoft Office: Students will either need Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel downloaded onto their computer OR they can create a free account at office.com and use the free online version of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Students will be using these to work on while the teacher shares his screen to demonstrate skills for each program. Students will be creating their own projects on each platform.
Supply List
Students will need access to Google Drive, using a gmail account and access to Microsoft Office. If students do not have Microsoft Office application on their computer, they can create a free account at office.com and use the free online version of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Hi learners and parents! 
I currently am the Chief Microsoft Instructor for an EdTech company based in the United States. 
I currently am a credentialed teacher in Washington State and hold my endorsements in biology (5-12), health (K-12) and fitness (K-12). 
I currently teach AP Biology, honors biology, anatomy and physiology and health science. 
Last year, I taught biology, environmental science, health, physics and P.E. to middle and high school students. 
I hold my Masters Degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in life sciences and health.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training from Whitworth University. I completed 1,250 clinical hours in physical therapy clinics, collegiate, semi-professional and high school athletic training rooms, emergency rooms and urgent cares.
Throughout this program, I took multiple courses that required a high level of competency in Microsoft Office programs. I completed fitness assessments and data analyses using Microsoft Excel. I conducted my own semester-long research project and utilized Microsoft Office programs to collect and summarize my findings.
