Description
Class Experience
In this one-time class student will pair their love of coloring with a discussion about insects! To lead the discussion I will ask students some questions while they color. I will also be showing a slide show of interesting bug facts we can discuss. I will continue to check in on their progress as they color, and encourage each student to share their pictures with the class when they are done coloring. Coloring is not only fun but it also has so many benefits for children! Students will work...
Students will practice fine motor and creative thinking skills when coloring. They will practice listening comprehension and speaking skills during our discussion.
I have been a certified teacher for over 10 years! I have taught grades PreK, Kindergarten, 3rd, and 4th. I love sharing my love of doodling and drawing with my students, showing them how they can be an artist too. What makes it even better is when I can add in literacy and science.
-Crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers - Sea Turtle coloring page(s) -- a link to free coloring pages will be posted in the classroom for families to print out before class. However, students may draw their own picture of a sea turtler, or color a picture they already have at home
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
