In this one-time class, learners will learn to make change with coins. We will look at the penny, nickel, dime and quarter. Learners will count sets of coins and learn to write the value with dollar and scent notation.

Class Experience
Our learning goals are foundational skills to common core standard CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.2.MD.C.8 (Solve word problems involving dollar bills, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies, using $ and ¢ symbols appropriately.)
1 file available upon enrollmentA file will be provided for learners to print. Learners should have a pencil, piece of blank paper and one of each: penny, nickel, dime and quarter.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
