Class Experience

Each student will learn how to create videos based of their own personal interests. They will find something they like doing or know a lot about. This is the start for them. After this is created, they can go anywhere. They will learn how to set up their YouTube page and upload videos, followed by sharing their page. I will be giving them tips on how to get likes and where to share their pages. I will also be going over proper internet use and the safety, which is very important for children.

Basic computer knowledge is required. Must know how to use video camera from either phone, computer, tablet, GoPro (or how they plan on making their videos).

***To create a YouTube page, the required age is 13. For children younger than this, they may be required to use a parents account or Birthday. MUST HAVE PARENT/GUARDIAN APPROVAL*** Also, please have email account set up prior to the first day of class. Preferably a Gmail address since it is connected to YouTube.

The only homework that will be assigned is to create videos to upload of their personal interests or what they want to start their channel on. This will be done after the first class and after everything is explained.

I will go over their YouTube channels and give them any advice and help them along each week.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Everyone! My name is Tiffany and I found something I love doing. I am graduating this October with a BA in Applied Behavioral Science and a minor in Psychology. I have always loved teaching children and adolescence. I spent over five years working at the Ontario-Montclair school district as an aide, P.E teacher, and substitute. I also spent over 10 years in human resources and training new employees. One of my passions is computers and different computer programs.
I have three children of my own, all girls, ages 8, 6, and 4. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 11 years now, but we have been together for 15!
I am looking forward to teaching, using positive reinforcement, like I do with my own family. They are currently enrolled in a charter school, which is best for them at the time.
