Class experience
In this interactive class, students will learn and develop their coding skills through puzzles and creative projects. This class features fun, colorful characters who need code directions to perform game-like tasks, find their way through a maze or draw a picture. Learners will drag and drop various command blocks (ex: move forward, turn left, turn right, repeat, collect, start, stop, set the background, set size, if/else, while/when, etc.) to guide the characters through each puzzle or to...
Students will learn the basics of code by solving a variety of drag-and-drop block coding puzzles with fun, colorful characters to learn the coding skills of sequencing, loops/repeats, and events

Grades Offered
Students at this young age very often need adult assistance using a computer. Since this is a virtual, online class, the teacher is obviously not present in the same room as the learner. The parent/guardian MUST be available during the entire class time to partner with the teacher and assist the learner as needed - setting up devices, logging in, finding the correct puzzles in the menu. Please expect to be at your learner’s side (off-camera) for the first 5-10 minutes of class to make sure they understand how to get started. If you see the learner is able to work independently with the teacher’s instructions, feel free to leave the room after 5-10 minutes. Please continue to be available in your home in case the learner needs to ask questions.
