Questions on the American Literature exam require test takers to demonstrate one or more of the following abilities in the approximate proportions indicated: Ability to understand and interpret short poems, excerpts from long poems, and excerpts from prose works (about 35–40% of the exam) Knowledge of literary works, including authors, characters, plots, settings, style, and themes (about 25–30% of the exam) Familiarity with critical terms, verse forms, and literary devices (about 15–20% of the exam) Knowledge of historical and social settings of specific works, relations between literary works, relations of specific works to literary traditions, and influences on authors (about 15–20% of the exam)
Gina Jude Curriculum is a certified teacher-tutoring and online teaching service. We offer online courses for homeschool students in a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, history, and more. We also provide tutoring services for students who are struggling in a particular subject. Our mission is to provide quality education to all students, regardless of their learning style or ability. We believe that every student has the potential to succeed when given the proper tools and support. Teachers for this class are certified in 7th-12th grade English and have experience in teaching biology in both brick & mortar schools at many different levels including Academic and Honors level classes.

Homework is assigned weekly and is graded for completeness.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessments will be formal and informal. They are designed provide practice for students to succeed in future higher level biology programs.Grades Offered
Homework and tests will be graded to allow students and parents to judge progress and readiness for future learning.
