Beginner Level
While the main goal for this class is just to make sure the student and teacher are the right fit together, we will still learn some of the first principals of piano playing. We will figure out which hand is left and right, and where the high and low notes are found on the keyboard. We will then learn to count our fingers from 1 to 5 and how to place them on the piano. Lastly we will look at the keyboard and notice the patterns we see with the black and white keys. Throughout the class we will get to know each other and learn about the student's favorite songs/music.

Hello! I am Mr. Alan!
Since I first started banging on the piano as a toddler and singing at the top of my lungs, I have always loved music. The first chance I got, I started taking private piano lessons and continued those all the way to college. Anytime there was a chance in school to be involved in something musical, from marching band or jazz band, to theater and chorus, I wanted to be a part of it.
It is my goal as a piano and music teacher to help each student find the same love of all things music that I have always had, and be able to enjoy and use their knowledge of music the rest of their life.
I live in Tennessee with my beautiful wife, my fun and energetic 8 year old daughter, my crazy Halloween-loving 4 year old son, and my sweet and cuddly newborn son who all love to sing and have glowstick dance parties together. :)
