Class experience
This class is a weekly, one-on-one piano lesson for ages 4-18 who are just beginning or have less than a year of piano training. The teacher has extensive experience with young beginner students and has a very fun and enthusiastic teaching style that suits well for young learners and will help them enjoy their lessons and look forward to each class. Students will learn to read and understand music, as well as the mechanics of playing the piano.
Homework Offered
Students will be given 1-2 new songs to practice after each lesson, as well as periodic written homework. Students are encouraged to practice 15-30 each day, or 1-3 hours each week.1 - 2 hours per week outside of class

Students should have a piano or a keyboard (full size is not required, but should be at least 49 keys and not a toy piano) Students will be required to purchase the appropriate books from the Bastien Piano Basics series. https://www.amazon.com/James-Bastien/e/B00MD9JWQ4/ref=dp_byline_cont_pop_book_1 The teacher will provide guidance on which level to purchase after assessing the students level during the first introductory class.
