In this 1-on-1 session, I will be covering all required math concepts for each grade level, support student individual needs, ensure foundational understanding and extend the lesson whenever the opportunity arises. Specifically, my approach includes strengthening foundational skills to ensure understanding, then we learn how to apply these newly developed skills to build confidence, conceptual understanding and overall success. It is a process that must be adjusted for every student, but I have found AMAZING SUCCESS through these individualized sessions. In addition, session pace, foundational skills, extensions, interests are just a few factors that I take into account each and every session I am well versed in the following concepts: 1. Middle School Math (6th - 8th) - Ratios, Percentages, Conversions, Graphing, Probability, etc. 2. Algebra 1 - Equations, Linear Expressions, Systems of Equations, Functions, etc. 3. Geometry - Supplementary/Complementary Angles, Special Triangles, Distance/Midpoint Formulas, Proofs, etc. I look forward to our session!
Learning Goals
It is important to remember that math is a very unique language and how you learn that language can greatly affect how you feel about math. My approach to support students is very systematic and requires a team effort between the student and myself. I have extensive experience with teaching math to all personalities, learning styles and individual preferences. I can't wait to work together to help achieve your success!

All the student needs is a pencil and paper. If they have a math book that they use, they are welcome to bring it as well. We'll handle the rest together!
