Description

Class Experience

This program is meant to bridge the gap for readers who may feel a little big for storytimes but are not yet ready for a full book group. Learners (who are welcome to wear costumes!) will begin by discussing the Rainbow Magic chapter book Cassidy the Costume Fairy: what was interesting, if anything was confusing, any other stories it may resemble, etc. Discussion is intentionally a mix of literature comprehension questions and also an opportunity for readers to get to know one another and...

I designed and hosted creative children's programming in Chicago independent bookstores for eight years, spearheaded a musical storytime initiative at a refugee camp in Athens, Greece, and own a children's ballet education company.

Truly any craft supplies you have on hand will work! Examples include:
-Paper (craft, scrapbook, printer, etc.)
-Markers, crayons, or colored pencils
-Paints and paintbrushes 
-Ribbons, rhinestones, or stickers

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
