This class is set up so that a student can learn all the content in a college level Calculus course before they go take it in college. This would be an excellent choice for a student that will enter a highly competitive environment and needs to get an A in the college class. I have taught this course through a college for over 10 years, so I know what will be expected of them. Students that take all four parts of this series will walk into their college class knowing 95% of what the teacher will teach that semester. Calc I will be an easy A! Content covered in Part 1: Week 1: Limits from graphs, one sided and two sided, Limits from equations (straightforward, 0/0, including trig, and sinx/x) Week 2: Limits as x approaches infinity and evaluating one-sided limits algebraically, Continuity from graphs and finding a value for piecewise function that makes it continuous Week 3: Average rate of change, Limit Definition of derivative and instantaneous rate of change Week 4: Writing equations of tangent and normal lines

Supply List
A graphing calculator such as a TI 84 is recommended but not required. We will use Desmos for many of our class examples. If the student is planning on taking Calculus in college, they will not be able to use Desmos on college exams and quizzes. Most courses allow a TI 84, however, so it would be good to learn how to use it during my class.
