US Grade 1 - 4
This is a hands-on science and art class that combines the love of clay and science. In this class students will build a model of the brain and learn fun facts about the central nervous system. This class will cover the parts of the brain including the cerebrum, cerebellum, and brain stem. At least 4 small cans of play-doh or clay is required. Please print off the worksheet that is found on the classroom wall. Students will be given step-by-step instructions on how to build the model. This class is part of a series of classes and can be taking together or separately. The series includes; Modeling Clay and the Circulatory System Modeling Clay and the Respiratory System Modeling Clay and the Nervous System Modeling Clay and the Digestive System A certificate will be emailed out after each class.
Learning Goals
Students will build a model of the brain and learn the 3 major parts of the brain along with fun facts of the nervous system.
Other Details
Supply List
At least 2-3 cans of Play-doh or Clay are required. Please have a plastic knife or butter knife ready for class. Multiple colors of Modeling Clay will make for a more detailed model but students will be encouraged to work with what they have.

Teaching is my lifestyle. I have been a certified teacher for 20 years teaching both math and science classes. I have my Gifted and Talented endorsement and have taught STEM for K-5th grade for over 10 years. I have taught both K-5 in a public school classroom and I am a homeschool mom that loves the process of educating students.
