Have your child unleash their inner mad scientist with this awesome and exciting class using basic materials from home! In this course, we will be utilizing parts of the scientific method to perform STEM-based experiments. Students will be introduced to STEM concepts in a way that integrates science, math and technology into engaging labs. This is a great option to compliment and/or extend the learning your child is doing at home! Sometimes the best way to learn things is to actually do them! Students will enjoy the hands-on approach of this course that combines science, math and technology into fun experiments that challenge the mind at every turn. Florida Teaching Certificate
I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Dowling College in Oakdale, New York and attained a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.
I have been teaching various grades in a Public School System since 2004. I have won awards for my implementation of CANVAS technology in the classroom and was vital in the transition to a virtual school environment during the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, I have been a nominee for Teacher of the Year and a Candidate for entry into the LEAD Program on the path to become an Assistant Principal.
Aside from my work in the public-school system, I also teach Homeschooled children via virtual setting. I feel that the best part of being a teacher is getting to see the children connect all the dots as they learn and grow.
