Description

Class Experience

Learners will gain a better understanding of how the brain works in areas such as communication, the 5 senses, sleep, and memory as well as learn about new things being discovered in neuroscience.
I have a BA in Psychology and a BA in Integrated Biology which allowed me to take several brain-related courses while in college. Some of these courses included Introduction to Neuroscience, Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Sensation & Perception. Many of the classes I took were discussion-based and allowed me to gain experience with leading discussion groups.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Since I am not yet a trained professional, any learner questions that would venture into discussions about mental health (i.e. depression, ADHD, addiction, anxiety) or disease (i.e. stroke, tumors, migraines) will be redirected. This club is solely to talk about the interesting things our brains can do, not about mental disorders or brain diseases.
