Are you new to clarinet or interested in taking it on? If so, this course is for you! This course will cover the basics of the instrument from how to form an embouchure (and what an embouchure is) to playing some basic tunes. It is intended for clarinetists that have no experience to those with under a year of experience. In each class I will demonstrate on my instrument and have each student play so we can all learn from each other! Practice is essential not only to learn the concepts but develop the muscle memory to play an instrument! I recommend my beginning students practice 30 minutes per day.

Supply List
You will need a functioning clarinet, mouthpiece, ligature and 2-3 reeds for this course. I would be happy to discuss the specifics of buying an instrument individually. I recommend my beginning students play on Rico Royal 2.5 Reeds. I will provide written materials for the course!
