Beginner Level
As a native Spanish speaker, a mom, and a Spanish high school teacher for nearly 10 years, I have plenty of experience teaching the language. I’ve always encouraged my students to learn more than one language if possible—just as I’m doing with my own daughters and future students. Learning Spanish is not just about the language itself, but about opening doors to new experiences, friendships, and opportunities. There are so many benefits to learning a second language. It helps improve memory, enhances creative thinking, and makes problem-solving easier. It also allows children to build connections with people from different cultures, which boosts their empathy and understanding. Plus, learning a new language gives kids a sense of achievement, building their confidence as they practice and grow. In this class, I make sure students have fun while they learn! With engaging lessons, games, and a warm, interactive environment, students can enjoy the process of picking up new vocabulary, practicing simple conversations, and connecting with their classmates. Whether they’re just starting out or already know a few words, we’ll cover topics that make learning Spanish easy and enjoyable! Each lesson will introduce vocabulary, common expressions, and basic phrases that students can use in conversation. I'll share interactive slides to make the learning process enjoyable and ensure everyone gets to participate. We will end each class with engaging activities like games or reading practice to reinforce what we’ve learned. Class highlights include: - Creative visual aids (Canva Slides) - Practical conversation practice (with a native speaker + classmates) - Games and activities - Fun, engaging, and supportive atmosphere - Worksheets for additional practice at home If a student prefers not to speak or participate actively in class, please let me know ahead of time. My priority is to create a comfortable and happy learning environment for all students. Whether the student is just starting out or wants to improve their Spanish, they are welcome to join us.
