Beginner Piano/Keyboard Class 1

Students should have regular access to either a keyboard or a piano in good working condition by the third class.  Keyboards should have regular sized keys.  I strongly recommend that keyboards be plugged in, rather than relying on batteries.  Pedals will not be used in this class.  A sturdy bench or chair with no arms is necessary.  Please have the device your learner is using adequately charged and placed so that I have a clear view of the piano/keyboard and the student’s hands.  That way I can best help everyone.  

A parent or parent approved adult should be present (off camera, as per Outschool policies) if a student needs support with any aspect of class, such as learning, technology, staying on task, or any other need.  Please make sure the zoom settings are working properly at the beginning of each class.  A quiet environment is very helpful for this class.  Anything that can be done to help learners listen and focus on the class will be very helpful to them and to me.
