Beginner Japanese: Learn How to Use Object Pronouns With Common Items

In this one time course, beginner Japanese learners will discover the absolute essentials.  Class will be focused on teaching how to talk about objects using the equivalents of “this”, “that” and “over there” in Japanese.

They will learn the following equivalent phrases in Japanese:
What is this/that/that over there?
This/that/that over there is a (bicycle).
Additional vocabulary words: bicycle, ice cream, game, rice (meal), cat, dog, tree, bread, camera.  

Students will learn by listening, repeating and attempting to make sentences themselves using the teacher’s PowerPoint picture prompts and activities.  Students are welcome to bring an object/toy that they would like to practice describing in Japanese as well!

If time allows, additional phrases will be taught.  Students will be provided with printable flashcards to help them review.  We may use a whiteboard app which will allow students to write/draw individually.  

Knowledge of Japanese is not needed!  A desire to learn basic Japanese and an ability to read basic words in the learners native language will be enough to qualify them to take this class.  Learners will be encouraged to speak as much as possible and not to worry about making mistakes!  Making mistakes is truly the best way to build confidence speaking a new language!

Students may take any of my one time Japanese classes in no particular order.  All classes are suitable for complete beginners.
