Let's continue our language learning in Beginner Japanese 2 part 2! Students will meet once a week, and by the end of the ten weeks, students will learn family members, pets, and adjectives. They will be able to say the names of family members and the number of people, using adjectives to offer descriptions, and much more! Students learned the hiragana system in Beginner Japanese 1 and will now be exposed to the Japanese katakana system. They will see the vocabulary in English and Japanese script and romaji (using Roman letters to write Japanese words). Furthermore, they will learn phonetic pronunciation. In Japanese 2 part 2, students will learn to read the katakana characters from row 6 up until the 10th row. There are ten rows in the katakana chart, and we will do the last five with a quick review of the first five. It is vital that students feel welcome and excited about learning. While having fun, we will also practice good classroom etiquette. The class will be interactive, and students will get a chance to speak with one another and do so in an orderly fashion. Let's get ready to learn and have fun!
