This class is designed to provide a solid foundation for further studies in the Japanese language. It introduces the fundamental aspects of Japanese grammar, teaching students essential grammatical structures, sentence patterns, and basic vocabulary for constructing simple sentences. Every week, students will learn various points of Japanese grammar and some vocabulary along the way. While learning grammar, students will be exposed to the Japanese writing system and romaji (the Roman alphabet letters used to write Japanese words), so students are not required to read Japanese.
