Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a certified K-3 teacher with a master's in dance. I turn content standards into an adventure by combining physical challenges and learning. Whether I am teaching language arts or math facts my students will move to learn and learn to move. Sports, dance, and imitating animals are all game when we are on the move in my class!
For kiddos who don't want to sit still I will soon be offering movement classes: ballet, jazz, yoga, and fitness classes are just a few! I have loved dancing since I was 8 years old. After undergrad and graduate school, I operated my own studio for 5 years. When my son was 2 he began using a wheel chair. He would zoom around the studio. This led to us creating many wheelchair dances that we performed at universities and churches.
Learning, moving and grooving with your child would be my pleasure!
