In this 4 session class, students will learn dozens of practical skills in Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets to help them be successful in all levels of school and/or an entry level job. Students will build skills that can be used immediately in school, work, or their personal lives. This class will be taught in a hands-on manner. Students will be asked to have their own Google Doc, Sheet, or Slide open on their computer so that they can work and complete the skills. Additionally, students will learn through projects. In each program, your student will complete a personalized project that promotes creativity and application of skills. Here is the schedule for each week: Week 1: Understanding tabs and overall purposes and functions of each program. Setting up a Doc, Slide, and Sheet. Week 2: Creating the foundations of a brochure in Docs, designing introduction and content in Slides, and mastering schedule creation in Sheets. Week 3: Making the brochure stand out with colors, images, and a crisp layout in Docs, adding animation, transitions, and a conclusion to Slides, and creating tables and graphs for science or math class in Sheets. Week 4: Presenting brochure in Docs and slideshow in Slides, organizing graphs in Sheets.
Students will learn how to efficiently use Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
