One-on-One Audition Preparation Coaching Class This class is designed to give you the tools and confidence to shine in auditions, whether you're preparing for a singing competition, an acting role, or a musical theater performance. Each class is flexible and can be scheduled according to your timeline, whether you prefer multiple sessions a week or a single class to get ready for an upcoming audition. Our 45-minute sessions are packed with personalized coaching tailored to your needs, ensuring every moment counts. What Will Be Taught? Vocal Coaching: Learn vocal techniques and styles to perform at your best. This includes breath control, pitch, range, and emotion in your delivery. We will also work on choosing the perfect audition song that highlights your vocal strengths. Monologue Coaching: Get assistance in selecting and performing a monologue that fits the audition’s criteria. Learn how to memorize, interpret, and deliver the piece with conviction, whether you're performing a classical or contemporary monologue. Acting Techniques: We will cover methods for portraying a character, including voice modulation, body language, and emotional expression, to make your performance authentic and engaging. Audition Preparation: You’ll gain confidence in audition settings, learning how to handle nerves, present yourself professionally, and interact with casting directors. We’ll also work on preparing you for any specific requirements listed in the casting call. Topics Covered Vocal Technique: Posture, breath control, diction, resonance, vibrato, and pitch. Monologue Selection & Performance: How to choose the right material and present it with impact. Character Development: Techniques for building a believable character and getting into the role. Audition Etiquette: How to present yourself, take direction, and adapt to the environment during auditions. Mock Auditions: Practice with real-time feedback to simulate the audition experience. Class Structure Each class begins with a brief discussion of the student’s progress and goals. From there, we dive into the specific focus for that session (vocal, monologue, or acting). Classes are split into 3 main sections: Warm-up: Breathing exercises and vocal warm-ups or physical exercises to get in the mindset for acting. Workshopping: This is where the majority of the class time is spent, whether you're rehearsing a song, monologue, or practicing acting techniques. Feedback and Closing: You will receive constructive feedback, and we will set goals for the next session. Teaching Style My teaching style is personalized, supportive, and results-driven. I focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment where you can grow and push beyond your comfort zone. I am patient and will guide you step-by-step, adjusting to your learning pace. Every session is tailored to meet your unique needs, and I ensure we target the most important aspects for your success. Learner Interaction During our classes, you will have the opportunity to engage with me on a personal level through: Real-time Feedback: After every exercise, I’ll provide immediate, actionable feedback. Direct Performance Practice: Whether singing, performing a monologue, or acting out a scene, you will perform and receive suggestions on how to improve. One-on-One Attention: Since this is a private session, all of the attention is on you. You’ll get specific guidance and coaching that directly applies to your audition.
