40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this one time course, learners will go through and learn as much sign language as possible in the forty minute class time. It is student led so the pace will be set by the learners. Class will start with introductions and learning the asl alphabet. Learners can learn to finger spell their name and practice introducing themselves. We can learn numbers, colors, animals, questions words, emotions and polite words all depending on the student led pace. I encourage students to enjoy the language and try to provide a relaxing environment to learn in. They will be provided printables to practice on their own later. This is a beginner course so no prior asl knowledge is needed just a interest in learning the language.

Hello my name is Tanesha Poly. I am a homeschooling mom of five. I love learning and researching different curriculum and activities to keep my kids learning and engaged. Before I became a mom I worked as an educational interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing. I worked with children of all ages teaching, aiding, and interpreting for them. I have an associates of arts degree and a certificate in American Sign Language. My kids have enjoyed taking classes on Outschool and I hope to provide the same type of fun enjoyable classes for others! I love cooking, baking, organizing, and taking pictures of my kids!
