Arabic 101 - Let's Learn Colors in Arabic 🎨

*** This is a Modern Standard Arabic class ***
In this class, the students will learn colors in Arabic. By the end of this lesson, the students will be able to correctly  pronounce and identify the following colors in Arabic : Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, Green, Purple, Black, White, Brown, Pink.  This class is suitable for children with little to no prior knowledge of Arabic. 
We will start our class by learning some basic words related to self introduction in Arabic such as "hello", "my name is ...". Then, we will learn the colors one at a time, focusing on the correct pronunciation of each color. Once we go over all the colors, we will then enjoy listening/ singing along with a song that recycles the words we have just learned. Then, we will practice our target colors by looking at different objects and identifying their colors ( e.g. What color is this? This is ( color) ). 
In my class, I like to give my students a lot of opportunities to speak and practice the words they have learned. We will follow the model " I do, we do, you do" to provide my students with enough language input and scaffolding to reach their learning goals. 
I use slides along with prompts, flashcards and realia to provide my students with visual support and encourage them to participate. 
I will include a handout that parents can print out before or after the session for further practice.
