Intermediate Level
Second in the vocabulary building series, this class will continue to focus on helping the learner acquire more vocabulary through well-structured reading-comprehension activities, which involve preparing the student before exposing them to the topic. There will be two sessions per each theme, one reviews the vocabulary and the grammatical structures, relevant to the topic, while the second session deals with the new text directly. Every topic comes with in-class activities as well as homework. Throughout this class, we will study topics from the perspective of an Arab child. The following are some of the themes we will work on: - Preparation for a long trip - At the airport - Walking around in the "medina."

Teacher expertise and credentials
Master's Degree in English from San Francisco State University, MA in Linguistics
My entire career has focused on teaching languages and encouraging cross-cultural interaction and learning. After obtaining my undergraduate degree in English, I joined an acclaimed cultural center in Morocco, where I was trained to teach Arabic and facilitate multicultural dialogue. I taught Modern Standard Arabic and Darija (Moroccan Arabic) to students from all over the world.
After moving to California, I continued working as a teacher of languages. I taught Arabic, French, and English as a foreign language for various institutions, including Berlitz, ABC Languages, and Fresno State University. In 2013, I received my Masters in English (with a focus on linguistics) from San Francisco State University. I have been teaching Arabic on Outschool for more than 5 years.
