They will compete an animation of a bouncing ball.Class Experience
Can you draw a circle and an oval? Then you can be an animator. I show you the quick and easy way to create your first animation. After this first class, most of my students have the confidence to try their own animations! We'll talk about using traditional animation techniques (just like Disney used to do) of onion-skinning, and repetition. We will change the shape of the ball and add frames to create the illusion of animation. Students will then be able to save their files as gif animations or MP4s. I will be using "Procreate" on an iPad using an Apple Pencil (optional, but recommended) to create the animations. I will run a fun an interactive class by sharing projects and stages along the way so that all students will be able to catch up when needed. I will be on camera the whole time demonstrating my drawing style, how I use animations, and finished renderings. Some videos will be shown through the app. Your child will then have confidence to try animations on their own. YOUR STUDENT MUST COMPLETE MY BEGINNER’S CLASS ON PROCREATE BEFORE TAKING ANY OF MY ANIMATION CLASSES or be able to show me in the first five minutes that they can draw a perfect circle, a straight line, and know where to find tools. An iPad is highly recommended or some other tablet device and Procreate should be installed on the iPad.
