I am a passionate teacher that believes in analyzing materials from multiple lenses. I feel that my role is to assist in facilitating learning and that students bring a wealth of knowledge and alternative lens to any discussion. To that extent, my goal is to provide the learners with the historical context that will allow them to analyze the story from multiple lenses.

Learning Goals

Students will develop an understanding of To Kill A Mockingbird and the social climate that made it an American classic. They will examine the text through multiple lenses. In doing so, they will strengthen their critical thinking skills and develop a greater understanding of the role of literature in providing context for historical, social, and cultural knowledge.
