In this course, students will learn and explore a variety of important math concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, counting, money, sorting, place value, fractions, and more. Our classes are designed with a hands-on approach, providing live examples and interactive play to ensure that learners are fully engaged and have a blast while learning. Our lessons are carefully designed to teach or review all the basic concepts necessary for each lesson, so everyone can feel confident and comfortable. We expect our students to follow simple directions, take turns when directed, listen when asked, and be respectful to their teacher and classmates at all times. We know that with a positive and respectful environment, our students will thrive and succeed. ▬▬▬▬▬▬ 📚Weekly Course Examples📚 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ For the first four weeks, we will be focusing on addition and subtraction, followed by multiplication and division, fractions, counting, and money. After that, we will introduce new topics to continue expanding our knowledge and skills. Students are welcome to join and leave at any time, as there is no previous information needed in order to succeed in the current week’s lesson. Parental Guidance
On occasion our lesson may involve eating small snacks to subract and divide as well as some physical movement such as jumping up and down. Depending on the needs of the individual learner, parents may need to supervise or be available to help gather necessary items.
IXL and Kahoot will only be used via screen share by the teacher. No personal passwords will be necessary.
Supply List
Learners will need to have access to any household items that can be used as manipulatives for counting, adding, subtracting building, sorting, ordering, etc.
