In this one time class, the students will listen to a story about deer and then do some reindeer research and create a step by step reindeer drawing with non fiction labels with an experienced teacher.

In this one time class, learners will listen to a story read fluently called Stranger In The Woods by Carl R. Sams. During the research part of the class, the students will share out what they know about deer and reindeer. We will chart the research. The students will then use their listening skills to create a step by step drawing of a reindeer. ~Students will use listening skills to actively listen to a story. ~Students will use language skills to discuss the story. ~Students will use social skills to practice taking turns and participating in the discussion. ~Students will use creative skills to create a drawing. ~Students will use writing skills to add non fiction labels to their drawing.
Students will need a white piece of paper and crayons or colored pencils and a pencil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
