Algebra - Graphing Lines and Writing their Equations (Linear Functions | y=mx+b)

In this class we will learn to graph linear functions and write the equations of their lines!  We will review the concepts of increasing and decreasing linear functions.  We will also learn to identify the slope slope and y-intercept of a linear graph then use them to write an equation.  Lastly, we will look at the equations of linear functions and graph their lines by hand.  

A set of guided notes will be provided to students upon enrollment.  We will work through these notes and practice graphing multiple types of linear functions together.  I teach by asking many questions that guide the learner to the correct conclusions.  Therefore, students should be ready to discuss and brainstorm together as we work through problems.  Students may even annotate the notes on my screen to show and display their actual work. 

While we will briefly review certain pre-requisite skills, it will be helpful if students are familiar with graphing individual points on a coordinate plane before this class.   Students should also be familiar with solving 2 step equations.
