In this theme-based writing curriculum, students write about adventurous topics such as Roman hoplites, tornadoes, Leif Eriksson, and other interesting subjects while they learn to write with the Structure and Style® writing method.

This class is taught in English.
  • Moving through Units 1–7 of the IEW methods, students will take notes, summarize narrative stories, write from pictures, put together a mini research report, and compose creative essays, games, vocabulary, and more.
We have been using IEW in our homeschool for 8+ years and I am a true believer in the method.  As a registered instructor, I would like to help other children learn the joy and ease of writing using IEW.  I teach from IEW texts as well as my own designed courses.

Frequency: 7 or more throughout the class
Feedback: included
Details: Homework will be assigned each week and should be uploaded to the classroom before class. Each writing assignment includes a composition checklist, so what is expected is easily outlined. Papers are graded on a rubric, based on a checklist provided with each assignment.

Details: By request a report card will be provided, grades can also be seen in google classroom.
