Beginner Level
In our Adventures in Story Craft class, your child will become a story-writing superstar! They’ll explore the key parts of a story—like characters, setting, and plot—by using the 5 Ws + H (Who, What, When, Where, Why, and How) as guiding questions. We’ll start by learning from a colorful slide presentation and work together as a group to create a story map for practice. Then, each student will make their own story maps, tapping into their creativity to craft a unique tale. This fun and interactive class is all about boosting confidence, sparking imagination, and building essential storytelling skills!
Learning Goals
Learners will apply the class lesson on narrative story structure to the crafting of beginning, middle and end story maps. They will use their story maps to write an initial draft of their own unique stories.
