Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
I will not be discussing any sensitive aspects of Chinese history. The majority of the discussion on the traditions that are featured in the class will center around teacher's own lived experience. All other information is sourced from the sources listed in the Sources section.
Something that shakes: a bottle of beans, a container of rice, NO MEDICINE BOTTLES PLEASE Something to dance with: a flowy scarf, a light stuffed animal, anything soft and light
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Movement will range from light to medium. For example, students may do static stretches and some freestyle dancing. Although it is preferable for students to have a wide open space, they need at least enough space to stand and swing their arms without hitting anything. If necessary, movements can also be adapted to sitting. Learners will receive little guidance about some of their movement, so parents are encouraged to directly supervise children who may struggle to control their bodies.
