8th Grade Math in Minecraft

Students will learn 8th grade math concepts using challenges in Minecraft: Education Edition. These challenges will engage them in tasks that are fun and require math skills to conquer. 

Students will practice the following topics and themes:

Week 1: Addition and Subtraction Practice
Week 2: Multiplication Practice
Week 3: Division Practice
Week 4: Adding and Subtracting Negative Numbers
Week 5: Ratios
Week 6: Percentages
Week 7: Adding and Subtracting Fractions
Week 8: Multiplying Fractions
Week 9: Dividing Fractions
Week 10: 1-Step Algebra Problems, 
Week 11: 2-Step Algebra Problems
Week 12: Probability


My teaching style is student-centric, I want every child to build confidence and the skills required to master math at any level. We'll move at whatever pace your child needs to ensure complete mastery before moving on to more advanced concepts. 

I have taught math in multiple settings ranging from 3rd Grade to 9th Grade Algebra, so whatever your child's math needs are, we will be able to tackle them in an engaging environment that encourages deep understanding and true mastery.
