Beginner - Advanced Level
In this ongoing learner-directed course, the instructor will address student areas of need by providing instruction in the specific content area named then allowing learners an opportunity to practice the prescribed strategies to master concepts. Learners will be asked to provide their specific need prior to each session in order to maximize instructional time. Instructor will provide instruction using numbers and pictures giving the learner visuals to help with conceptualization and likewise application. Diagrams and videos will be attached to session notes for review after each session.
Learning Goals
Students will gain an understanding of 5th grade math concepts such as multi-digit multiplication, division, powers of ten, computing with unlike fractions, two-dimensional figures and their attributes, coordinate grid and calculating volume.
