Beginner Level
Each session will introduce learners to an organizational strategy to help improve preparedness for class and study skills. Students may join at any time. Session topics will be continuously updated so you can choose the sessions of interest to you. Below are the upcoming topics: Week of July 20th - Project Management - Planning a project or paper Week of July 27th - Organizing Your Notebook or Interactive Composition Book for efficient learning Week of August 3rd- Notetaking - Cornell Notetaking and Mind-Mapping Week of August 10th- Planning Study Time - efficient ways to study maximizing your time Sessions will be taught using slides that provide how-to-instructions. Teacher will demonstrate the setup and use of each organizational aid. Question and Answer time will be included. Templates to be used for sessions will be posted in the classroom chat area prior to each session.
Learning Goals
Students will learn multiple ways to take notes to retain vocabulary and concepts taught in class. Instructor will help students adapt strategies to benefit their learning styles. Students will learn how to organize their time for maximum achievement.
