1 hour per week. Each story will be paired with a fun, hands-on activity designed to spark imagination, encourage interaction, and support early learning skills.Class Experience
US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this week-long storytime class, young learners will explore colors, animals, emotions, imagination, sequencing, and movement through daily interactive read-alouds and playful learning activities. Each day, we will focus on one engaging story followed by a hands-on or movement-based activity that reinforces key early learning concepts like pattern recognition, creative thinking, storytelling, and following directions. The class is structured with a warm welcome, a lively storytime, and an activity designed to help learners connect with the story in a fun, meaningful way. My teaching style is upbeat, nurturing, and interactive—I encourage participation through movement, call-and-response reading, discussion, and play. I use visual aids, props, and clear, simple instructions to keep learners engaged and supported. I will ask questions throughout the story, invite learners to share ideas, and guide them step by step through each activity. The goal is to create a fun, supportive environment where children can develop listening, language, and early academic skills while building confidence and a love of reading. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and imagination!
Learning Goals
Learners will actively engage with daily stories to build listening comprehension, early literacy skills, and vocabulary.
Learners will participate in interactive activities that promote creativity, fine motor skills, and early problem-solving.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Massachusetts Teaching Certificate in Special Education
As an experienced educator, I typically create learning materials for middle school math students—but at home, I’m a mom to a busy, curious 3-year-old who absolutely loves storytime books and hands-on activities. Watching how much joy and learning comes from sharing stories together inspired me to create this class for other young learners and their families. I bring my background in teaching, creativity, and child-friendly communication to every lesson, making storytime fun, interactive, and meaningful.
