This is an online 4-week drawing course for children 6-11 years old (age flexible). We meet once a week and practice drawing with watercolor pencils/watercolors/colored pencils. Every class we draw a different art work. In this course we cover Spring theme ideas: Week 1 - Robin bird nest on a blooming branch, week 2 - Giant checkered rabbit in a garden, week 3 - Crocuses in the snow, week 4 - Flowers in the mountains. I have two cameras turned on so students can see me and my table so students can see the process. Students are drawing their own works while listening to my instructions and looking at my demonstration. They can ask questions any time and share their work in progress for feedback. Students are free to use their imagination and change some details/colors, etc. Supplies required: watercolor pencils or watercolors; watercolor or mix media paper; water; medium size brush (round brush preferable); paper towel or napkin; pencil, and eraser. Watercolor pencils can be substituted with colored pencils, in this case a student doesn't require to have water and brush and should skip last step of the adding water to the drawing. No previous experience is required.

Hello and welcome! My name is Anna Starkova, I'm an artist, a mother of two (9 and 5 years old) and a wife.
Art has always been my biggest passion since childhood. I love working in various techniques like oil and acrylic painting, watercolors, and graphite drawing. Recently, I have started exploring the full potential watercolor pencils as well. Here at Outschool, I'm offering various one-time classes and 4-week courses (several one-time classes grouped together) in watercolor pencil art technique, graphite drawing and acrylic painting.
I have my own art studio in Needham, MA (Greater Boston Area) where I offer group and individual art lessons for children (age 4+) and adults. I enjoy working with my students and creating new artworks, exploring new themes with them and mastering different techniques. I show and teach all that I have learned during my own art process.
I feel honored to receive several awards and to be selected to participate in many juried art exhibitions throughout New England as well as in New York City. I am also honored to have my paintings in private collections all around the world: USA, Russia, UK, Belgium, Sweden, Australia, UAE, India, and Japan.
