US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Each lesson includes an official science journal, supply list, and corresponding instructional video. We will learn scientific terms in a hands-on and simple way. I will provide step-by-step instructional videos for our activities for students to participate at home. I often include my children in videos to create more of an age-appropriate “classroom-like” environment. I want your learner(s) to feel like they are part of a class and will be available for any questions or communications. New videos will be available each week based on your date of enrollment. Students will practice the scientific method as they fill out their printable science journals with their hypotheses and observations. Then, they have the opportunity to share it in the classroom. There will be an interactive team quiz at the end of class including all of the terms we learned throughout the course. Science/STEM/STEAM activities include: WEEK ONE: 2-in-1 Soap Science and Surface Tension - Adult supervision is required as we observe and record what happens while we microwave soap. Discover what happens when we place red pepper flakes in water. Lastly, watch our pepper break the surface tension with a magical chemical reaction. WEEK TWO: Slinky Physics - What's more fun than a slinky? Learn about springs and discover Neuton's Third Law as we adjust the slope and record our findings. WEEK THREE: 2-in-1 Changing Pennies - Explore the chemical change behind pennies as we make dirty pennies shine like new. Then, record a three-day experiment as we observe our pennies change over time. WEEK FOUR: Buoyancy with a Cartesian Diver Bottle - Learn about buoyancy and density in this magical experiment. What will sink and what will float? Create fun divers that will bob up and down as we squeeze and release our bottles. Interactive team Kahoot quiz reviewing our science terms for the entire course. Parental guidance is required for these experiments. No scheduled live video chats. Discussions via classroom and private messages with the teacher. Great if your learner prefers independent pacing or is uncomfortable with live video chat. Learners will follow along with the engaging video lessons while filling out their science journals. They will share pictures of their completed science journals for homework. There are 4 fun experiments with 4 printable science journals and therefore 4 assignments.

Bachelor's Degree in Science from Eastern Michigan University
Hello parents and students,
I encourage learning through enthusiastic engagement. I believe children learn best through curiosity or play. Teaching online has been my passion since 2015. I was an online English teacher with VIPKID for over three years and an Outschool teacher for ever since. Over the years, I have learned how to engage with students in a virtual setting. I encourage student output and participation during class.
I have a bachelors degree in marketing and science. I am an entrepreneur and business owner. I have also been in the beauty industry for over 15 years. I am a homeschooling mother to my twin sons and my two daughters. I am constantly seeking creative ways for my children and students to learn new things.
