3rd Grade Full Curriculum Part 2: Self Paced

These 16-week courses will provide your third-grader with a full curriculum including Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Computer Applications in a small group setting!

Homework
4+ hours per week. Students will be given homework Monday-Thursday for each subject. The homework will not be due until the next lesson of that subject is taught. For example, Monday's math homework will be due Thursday and Language Arts homework will be due the following Tuesday.
Assessment
Students will be given various projects, quizzes, and assessments to assess their understanding. A final report card will be provided at the end of the course.

Class Experience

US Grade 3
This course will entail every core subject that your third grader needs to know! 
This is a full curriculum that is taught by a certified and licensed educator and will cover the 3rd-grade common core standards.

Due to the fact that this is flexible course, students who are already in 3rd grade can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for a complete 3rd grade curriculum. Videos will be uploaded daily along with practice assignments, homework, and additional resources. Students will use the Outschool classroom to access all materials and homework.

Math: Find Area with Multiplication/Area and the Distributive Property
Language Arts: Setting and figurative language
Science: Defense and Environment Adaptations
Social Studies: Ancient China

Week 5:
Math: Find the Area of More Shapes/Review
Language Arts: Writing: Planning a sequence of events
Science: Fossils and how they are formed
Social Studies: Ancient India

Week 6:
Math: Place Value/Round Numbers Using a Number Line
Language Arts: Revising our Writing
Science: Fossils and Evidence of evolution
Social Studies: Ancient India

Week 7:
Math: Round Numbers Using Place Value/Estimate Sums

Math: Use Properties  to Multiply by multiples of 10/Review

Week 14:
Math: Equal Parts of  a whole/Understand Unit Fractions
Language Arts: Gathering Information Sources
Science: Nature vs. Nurture

Math: Write Fractions of a Whole/Fractions on Number Lines
Language Arts: Writers Workshop
Science: What are Genetics?
Social Studies: Ancient Africa

Week 16:
Math: Fraction Review/Final Math Review
Language Arts: Present Final Opinion Papers
Science: Dominant and Recessive Traits
Social Studies: Final Project

Students will turn in assignments through the Outschool Classroom. They will be given grades/feedback for each assignment along with individual and in-depth report cards after each semester.
